She joined Pension Dynamics Company LLC in 2009 as a Marketing Assistant and for the last few years has been providing investment education to participants and advises plan sponsors about the investment options offered in their plans. She is licensed with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) through the Series 6, 63, and 65 licenses.

In addition to her plan consulting responsibilities, Jan also is in charge of plan document preparation and plan administration support. She is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) and Women President Organization (WPO).

Stephen Butler is the Founder & CEO of Pension Dynamics Company LLC. He has worked in the retirement and employee benefits area since the early 1970s and has been credited with some of the earlier Employee Stock Ownership Plans and 401(k) plans installed in Northern California. Within the retirement industry, where he is a popular speaker, Steve Butler is best known as a leading advocate of retirement plans. He has worked with the Department of Labor to assist in establishing guidelines to ensure full disclosure of fees and services to plan sponsors.
He is the author of numerous books on retirement plans including, Roadmap to Retirement Security – How to Build and Conserve Retirement Wealth and The Decision-Maker’s Guide to 401(k) Plans: How to Set Up Cost-Effective Plans in Companies of All Sizes. Since 2001, Steve has written a weekly financial column for the Bay Area News Group newspapers. He is the originator of the “Butler Index”, an index of total costs of 401(k) plans that has been featured in articles in the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. He has also co-produced a retirement investment pilot program, which was aired on National Public Television stations throughout the country.
Steve is a graduate of Harvard College and attended the University of California at Berkeley Graduate School of Business Administration.
